ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us for an Off-Road Safety & First Aid Info Session with expert off-road trainer and guide Paul Bray of Safe2Ride, and Mica Paramedic Lach Garvey.


Keep yourself and your mates safe by familiarising yourself with essential motorcycle first-aid preparation skills and equipment.

This session will provide a top-level intro to the essentials of Adventure & Off-Road Motorcycle Safety, helping you to understand how best you can continue


During this info session, Paul and Lach will introduce Safe2Rides “Four Pillars for Adventure & Off-Road Safety”, as well as info on a range of advanced courses available.

    • Bike Preparation

    • Rider Preparation

  • Understand why riders get into trouble off-road

    • Terrain awareness

    • Balance

    • Techniques

    • Fatigue management

    • Foundation skills that must be practiced on the bike

  • Why communication matters

    • Navigation

    • SOS

    • Timing

  • Remote First Aid

    • First aid without communication = delayed outcome

    • First aid + location data = survivable incidents

  • Helping riders choose the right next training step in their moto journey

    • On bike Skills development pathways

    • First Aid & Navigation workshops

    • Community



The presentation runs for 60-90 minutes, followed by a Q&A session

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.



As part of the Safer Motorcycling Grants Program, you will be asked to fill out a short 5min survey before and after the workshop.



This program is funded by the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning through the Safer Motorcycling Grants Program.
